How Do You Make Baked Chocolate Custard?
• Pre-heat the oven to 325 degrees F. • Melt the chocolate chips and milk together in a double boiler. • Add the sugar, vanilla, eggs, and salt in a separate bowl. Mix thoroughly and combine a small ladle amount of it to the chocolate mixture. Whisk constantly so that the egg doesn’t scramble. • Pour the mixture into either 4 large or 6 small ramekins. Line them in a baking pan and pour boiling water in the pan until it submerges about 1/2 of each ramekin. • Bake the custards for 45 minutes or when the center is set. • Remove from oven and place aside to let it cool. Dollop some whipped cream, ice cream, powdered sugar, or other chocolate treats on top.
