How Do You Make Baked Cheese Potatoes?
Yummy baked cheese potatoes to compliment a nice steak or ham dinner….This recipe is for a serving size of four. Step 1 Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Step 2 Rinse off potatoes Step 3 Bake potatoes in oven for 45-60 minutes or until potatoes are soft. Step 4 Carefully remove potatoes from oven and let cool for about 10 minutes. Step 5 Cut potatoes in half long ways. Be careful, the potatoes will be steaming hot…Use caution when cutting in half. Step 6 Scoop out insides of each potato half into the big mixing bowl, leaving the skins un-torn. Again, use caution because the potatoes will be very hot after baking. Step 7 Once all potato halves have been added to bowl, gradually add the butter, milk, salt, and desired amount of cheese while mashing the potatoes with masher or fork. Mash and mix until ingredients are well blended. Step 8 Fill each skin with potato mixture. Step 9 Place filled potato halves into baking dish and re-bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
