How Do You Make Baby Doll Clothes?
Whether you are creating baby doll clothes for your child’s doll or for your own collectible dolls, it is an inexpensive way to keep things looking new. Baby doll clothes can be made from nearly any material and can become a fun project for children to participate in as they get older. Measure the doll. Make sure the fabric you’re working with is enough to create a garment for the doll. Measure around the doll’s waist and the length of its torso to get an idea of how much fabric you need. Lay your fabric out. With a pencil, gently mark the measurements of the doll’s waist and torso. Soft pencil marks at the top and bottom of torso and the width of the waist will allow you to create a pattern. Use measuring tape to make sure this is accurate. Cut the pattern out. You have now created a pattern for the garment. Cut it out, allowing for an extra 1/4 inch on either side to add closures to the garment.
