How Do You Make Award Winning Chili?

I spent years tweaking this recipe to get it to my taste. Great thing about it, you can tweak it for heat as well and it keeps the same basic flavor!. I won a cook off with this chili and still proudly display the award in my kitchen today. The recipe as it stands is mild enough for your grandparents but tasty enough for all. This makes a ton of chili but you may well need it. Simply cut the recipe in half (except for the vegetable oil) for the same taste if you want less. Enjoy! Step 1 Place a large stock pot on the stove and add the tomatoes and the beef broth. I like Tone’s beef stock. Add the chili powder, oregano, salt and cayenne pepper. Cover and let the mixture simmer while you work the rest of the ingredients. Step 2 Cook the ground beef in a non-stick pan covered. Covering cooks it thoroughly and quickly. Use 90% beef or better for flavor and less grease. Step 3 When beef is ready transfer to colander for draining and return pan to stove. In same pan you cooked the ground bee
