Radio-controlled model airplanes can be made to carry and release flour bombs, water bombs, parachutes, candy or just about anything else that is small and lightweight. You can also build a bomb bay as an integral part of the aircraft, with a servo-activated mechanism to open the bomb-bay doors. You can strap on an external, enclosed bomb bay, with a door that will open upon release, directly to the fuselage. In a few steps, you can make a simple, removable, servo-activated bomb release without having to modify your RC airplane. Step 1 Secure the micro servo while it’s lying on its side onto the belly of the fuselage, using a zip tie. Position the servo forward from the leading edge of the wing and keep it as close to the center of gravity as possible.
