To make your raft more durable, regular treatment with UV protectant can preserve the life of your rafting investment, keeping it durable and resistant to damage. In addition, UV protection keeps your inflatable boat looking its best for years to come. Prepare the material by vacuuming thoroughly to remove any grit which may have collected on the floor, seams, zippers or chambers of your inflatable raft. Sand and other fine grit will adhere to the raft’s material when UV protectant is applied, causing possible friction and wear. Combine 1/4 cup mild liquid soap in 1 gallon warm water. Wash boat carefully, paying special attention to zipper and seam areas where small dirt particles can collect unseen.
