How Do You Make An Inexpensive Bulletin Board From Household Items?
Have you priced bulletin boards lately? I recently did and was very surprised at how much was being charged for a plain old cork board even at discount stores. So, I figured why not make my own? I did this quickly and easily from items that I happened to have around the house. Decide on a base for your bulletin board. I just happened to have a large piece of styrofoam that came as packaging material. I used that but you could use just about any sturdy surface, such as the lid of a large cardboard box. When you choose a base, just keep in mind that you will be hanging it up when you are finished. Choose a covering for your bulletin board. You can use fabric, wallpaper or wrapping paper. I had some lovely leftover wrapping paper that just happened to coordinate perfectly with my room. Place your chosen base on the paper and wrap like a package, leaving all seams on the wrong side.
