Having a recovery disk for your Hewlett-Packard computer handy in the event of a system crash can be convenient. Many computers advise you to make a recovery disk the first time you start your system after you purchase it. If you have lost your recovery disk or would like to make a recovery disc now, you can easily do this. It does, however, require a little time to complete the process. Disconnect from the Internet and close down any software programs that are open. Click “Start,” then select “All Programs.” Select “Hewlett-Packard” and click “HP PC Recovery CD Creator” on HP Pavilion and Media Center computers.
