How Do You Make An Emergency Preparedness Kit?
Do you have an emergency preparedness kit? No matter where you live, a disaster could strike at any time, and you need to be prepared to survive and to see your family safely through it. There are two things you will need – a plan and some basic survival supplies. Here I’m going to tell you how to put together a home emergency preparedness kit so you will be ready when that disaster happens. The first thing you are going to need is a water tight storage container large enough to hold all of your emergency supplies. These can be easily purchased at Wal-Mart or Target. Use a permanent marker to label your container “Emergency Kit” or “Survival Gear” in large, easy to read letters. You will need at least one flashlight, but I recommend a flashlight for each family member old enough to use one. Make sure at least one of them is the sort you can convert to a lantern-type light.
