The fabric used for this project is tulle and is very inexpensive. Most often used for wedding veils, it is perfect for use on a bed canopy. It is necessarily light weight and easy to craft. The simple embroidery hoop provides the base and crown for this beautiful embroidery hoop bed canopy. Measure and cut the tulle fabric yardage into four equal lengths, 3 yards each. Place two pieces of tulle on your flat work surface. Match one long side of one piece to one long side of the other. Sew down the long side 1 1/2 inches using a 1/4-inch seam allowance. Match and sew the other tulle panels together the same way. You will have four panels attached. Press the short seams open. Fold the top edge of the canopy drape 1/2 inch to the wrong side and press.
