Decide how you want to dye your eggshells. Clean and save eggshells from eggs you use in the kitchen or hard boil eggs to use for an Easter egg hunt. Buy a kit for dying Easter eggs and follow the instructions to make the dye. If you want, you can make your own dye by putting 20 to 40 drops of food coloring into ½ cup boiling water with 1 teaspoon of white vinegar. Dye the eggshells. The longer you leave the eggshell in the dye, the darker the color becomes. You can mix the dyes together to create different shades.
