How Do You Make An Easy Yule Log (French Chocolate Roll)?
This recipe was handed down to me from my grandmother and her mother before her and so on for four generations along with hundreds of others in handwritten books of recipes collected over the years. I hope you enjoy it and view my other recipes. Adjust the ovens rack to it’s highest position. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Make sure you move your oven rack UP so that the yule log is as far away from the heating element as possible. Chocolate burns VERY easily. Soften your chocolate bars so they are plyable but not completely melted. Mix other ingredients in a bowl and whip until the mixture is completely fluffy. Now in a log pan (bread loaf pan works fine too as long as it has a rounded bottom) bend the chocolate bars to line the bottom of the pan. Pour in mixture then put chocolate bars to cover the batter. Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees, let cool completely and remove from pan.
