How Do You Make An Easy Tomatillo Salsa Verde?
Tomatillo Salsa Verde (tomatillo green salsa) is one of my favorite salsas. This is how to make an easy tomatillo salsa verde that packs a lot of flavor and just enough “kick” for fun. Peel your tomatillos. Tomatillos are a mildly hot pepper, which look a bit like a tomato wrapped in green paper. (Many grocery stores classify it as a tomato, as a matter of fact.) You will want 4-6 decent-sized tomatillos. Peel off the paper skin. The tomatillos will feel “sticky,” so just wash thoroughly. Toss into a pot of water. Add rest of hot peppers. You really do not need to cut up your hot peppers. Just cut off the stems and add the whole peppers to your pot of water. I use jalapenos, green chili peppers, and poblanos. (I especially like the flavor that poblanos seem to impart to the salsa. They are also relatively mild in terms of heat, so do not be afraid.) You can add any other type of hot green pepper that you wish. Peel and quarter your onion. Use whatever type of onion you like but make su
