How Do You Make An Easy DNA Molecule Model?
Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a spiral-shaped molecule that contains all of the genetic information necessary to make a person like you. It stores the data that determines the traits your children have when they inherit your genetic code. DNA is made up of two strands of nucleotides. All sorts of genes piggyback on the DNA spiral known as a helix. You can use your creative genes to make a DNA model you’ll be proud to show off. Blow up a long balloon to create a temporary form around which your DNA helix model will be built. Decide between using long pieces of wire or joined lengths of pipe cleaners (also known as chenille stems) as your model base. Thread craft beads onto either type of wire. Make your own pattern up in colors you like, alternating long with round beads until your wire is completely covered with the beads. Continue to thread craft beads on your wire until it measures at least twice the length of the balloon plus a little extra. Tie off the ends so no beads escape from
