How do you make an atv street legal in colorado?
Hi. I live in southern Colorado and this is all I know from having researched this myself…so the info may be sketchy. First, check with your local law enforcement (local police and county sheriff’s office. Some counties/towns have their own specific ordinances. Second, I know you need the following: STREET tires and not off-road tires, a horn, break lights, turn signals (using hand gestures won’t cut it), seat belts, eye protection (using just some sunglasses/glasses will do…or goggles if you prefer), head lights…and I think that’s about it. The other factor has something to do with your engine cc’s…again – check w/ local law enforcement….and don’t stop with one answer. Call back at a different time of day and you might get a totally different (such is life).
