How Do You Make An Astronaut Helmet?
Being an astronaut is a childhood dream for many people. While you may not grow up and actually get to see space, dressing up as an astronaut is fun for both Halloween and any costume parties throughout the year. Making your own astronaut’s costume isn’t difficult and can be kept for future use. Draw a vertical oval on the front of the white plastic bucket. The oval should be about 5 inches wide and 7 inches tall. This is where you will create the opening for your face. Use the hammer and nail to make a small hole at the top of the oval you have drawn. This should be large enough for you to easily slip the wire cutters in. Once you have the hole started, use the wire cutters to cut around the oval. You should now have an opening for your face. Place the dish towel on your head and wrap tightly. Put duct tape on the towel so that it holds it’s shape. Once the towel is molded in the shape of your head, duct tape the towel to the inside of the bucket to provide some cushion for your head.
