How Do You Make An Animal Ears Headband?
An animal ear headband is the perfect complement to a costume. These are instructions for making basic cat ears, but you can modify the directions to make ears for a rabbit, mouse, dog, or any animal you choose. Fold the fake fur in half, wrong side out. Draw a triangle on the fabric and cut through both layers so you have two furry ears. Do the same with the felt. Lay one fur triangle right side up. Turn one felt triangle right side down and place it on top of the fur one. Sew all around the felt triangle but leave space to slip in the wire. Making sure there’s enough room for the wire, sew a second line next to the first. Thread the wire between the two lines of stitches. Sew or glue the opening closed. Do the same with the other triangles. Turn both sets of ears right side out. Using a ruler, measure a piece of fake fur that is more than twice as wide as the headband and slightly longer.
