How Do You Make All-But-Instant Holiday Cookies?
When holiday spirits soar but year-end pressures mount, these cookies can save the day. They’ll send those old-time aromas wafting from your kitchen – and give your kids a chance to practice their baking skills – in a fraction of the time it takes to make a batch of cookies from scratch. Go to your closest neighborhood grocery store and buy rolls of refrigerated sugar cookie dough. Slice each roll into 1/8-inch to 1/4-inch circles. Leave some of the circles as they are. Cut others into shapes, using small cookie cutters. Bake according to the directions on the package. Decorate the finished cookies using store-bought tubes of icing.
