How Do You Make Acorn Snowmen Christmas Tree Ornaments?
These oh-so-easy snowman Christmas tree ornaments are a snap to make, even for kids. Gather the acorns in the fall and save them for an afternoon of fun. Spread out newspaper over surface to prevent getting paint on surfaces. Place piece of aluminum foil off to the side–this will be the drying area (paint won’t stick to it). Remove the cap from acorn. Poke the jewelry wire up from the underside, leaving the loop inside the cap. Slip a bead (the snowman’s pom-pom) onto the wire and bend the wire to make a hanger. Paint the nut of the acorn with white paint on all side. The pointy end of the nut will be the top of the snowman’s head so make sure to paint the entire nut. You may need to do a second coat. Let dry. Use the back end of the paintbrush to make small dots for the snowman’s eyes and mouth. Let dry. With the fabric paint, which is considerably thicker than regular acrylic paint, make a carrot-shaped nose. The paint will dry to look like a carrot. Let dry overnight. Place a good-
