Clean out your closet for old wool sweaters or shop your local thrift stores for an abundant selection of colorful wool knit sweaters to felt. The felted knitted wool becomes a sturdy and warm fabric, perfect for making wool blankets. This craft is simple to create and can be assembled very quickly. Wash seven or eight adult-sized wool knit sweaters in hot water on a normal agitation cycle. Dry the sweaters in a hot dryer. The heat and agitation of this process felts the wool, causing the knit stitches to blend together to create a solid fabric. Measure and cut 48 wool sweater squares or blocks, 7 1/2 inches square, from the variety of felted wool sweaters. Arrange the wool blocks on a flat surface, six blocks wide by eight blocks long. Overlap the left edge of the second block on the top row, over the right edge of the first block, a 1/2 inch. The first
