Fingerboards are simply miniature skateboards that are ridden using your fingers. Children have learned to manipulate these boards and perform tricks just as they would a real board. Different ramps and grinding surfaces can be used to perform a wide variety of tricks. Hold up the ramp with supports. These are usually cut in right angles on the bottom and quarter circles on top. This allows the plywood to rest on the supports. There should also be a support on the bottom to hold the side supports in place. Soak the thin plywood in warm water until it can be easily bent. Place the plywood on top of the supports and nail in place. Add coping for a grind rail at the top of the board using a coat hanger cut to width. This can be glued in place using hot glue, but be careful not to get glue on top on the hanger. This will make it difficult to grind. Add a flat piece at the top of your ramp for a place to stand.
