Essentially a cross bow is a bow that is shaped similarly to a capitol T and uses a trigger system to shoot the arrow or rod through the air and drive it into its target. While buying one of these pieces of equipment can be expensive, you can make one at home with some wood and other items you have around the house. Use two thin wood boards, one measuring 2 feet in length, the other measuring 3 feet in length. The longer piece of wood will be used as the barrel. Take the 2 foot piece of wood and lay it across the end of the longer piece, about an inch from the end. This should form a “T” shape. Use wood screws to secure the pieces together. Drive 2 threaded wood screws down into either end of the cross piece you just attached to the barrel. Make each wood screw about an inch and a half from either end of the board.
