How Do You Make A Windsock For Kids?
Windsocks are fun for children to make because there are so many wonderful designs to use. This particular craft is great for parents and children to make together or to use as a daycare craft in the spring and summer months. Keep in mind that adult help is necessary for this project. Step 1 Remove the label from a Quaker Oats cardboard canister. Cut away the bottom of the canister and discard the lid. This step needs to be done by an adult. Step 2 Create the top of the windsock by cutting a small slit on opposite sides of one end of the canister. Do not let the slits go through the edge of the canister. This step also needs to be done by an adult. Step 3 Turn the canister to the other end and cut small slits all the way around the bottom. Do not let the slits go through the edge of the canister. Make the slits 1/2 inch apart all the way around. Again, this step needs to be done by an adult. Step 4 Paint the canister, or let the child paint it, with acrylic paint. Let the paint dry com
