How Do You Make A Window Seat Cushion?

0

Making your own cushion for that beautiful window seat is not as difficult as you may think. This is a great way to use old sofa cushions or chair cushions. And, you’ll be doing your part to help in recycling. Step 1 First measure the length and width of the window seat. You can purchase a square of foam or use the foam squares from old sofa cushions , an old mattress or put two-three layers from thinner foam pads together. Step 2 Cut the foam to about an inch and a half smaller than the window seat. Cutting can be done with scissors or a sharp kitchen knife. Step 3 You can now cover the cushion with your choice of covers. Purchase one or make your own. A simple one can be made using an old sheet that has some damage. Just cut enough from the sheet to make a sort of pillow case that will fit your cushion. Sew the edges leaving one short end open. Insert the cushion and hand sew the open end closed. You’re now ready to cover your cushion with a beautiful outside cover.
