How Do You Make A Wedding Memento Box?
A wedding memento box looks like a whimsical little wedding cake, but it has a purpose: it will hold the little things that made your wedding special. Think of the memento box as a time capsule of items commemorating your special day. Purchase the round boxes at a craft supply store; they are often sold as a nested set. The largest box should be at least 8 inches in diameter. Stack the boxes to determine how they will fit together. Center each box, then trace around the bottom of the smaller boxes with a pencil. Glue the bottom of each box to the lid of the box below it, using white glue. Let dry thoroughly. Paint the box tower white and let dry. Use additional paint to decorate it to resemble a wedding cake. Glue on additional silk flowers, ribbons and lace. Fill the box with small items from your wedding, such as the cake topper, the handkerchief you used to dry your tears, and the silver sixpence from your shoe.
