Remove excess and damaged foliage from the stems of each flower. Pull off any unattractive petals as well. Use your hands or a stem stripper. Place the stems in a bucket of water. Cut the stems at an angle 2 inches from the bottom while holding them underwater. Keep the flowers in a bucket filled halfway with cool water until ready to assemble the bouquets.
