Teaching science concepts isn’t always easy. Trying to put abstract ideas into words that people (especially young people) will understand is always a challenge. When teaching a geological concept like weathering, it is wise to use illustrative images that are remembered and more easily understood. An easy way to produce the images of weathering and erosion you need is to use a 3D landscape generator like Vue Infinite. Open Vue Infinite. Click on the “Views Icon” to set the views to the four screen views. Go to the left toolbar (or Object Bar), and click on the “Create Terrain” icon. A terrain will appear in the views. Rotate and move the main camera so it is looking down on the terrain. Render the view, and save it as a jpeg file. Name it “1.” “1” will represent the unchanged terrain.
