Wastepaper baskets aren’t just made out of molded plastic or metal. Everything from wood to old magazines to fabric can be used to create a beautiful work of art to serve a very practical and functional purpose. Just because the wastepaper basket is holding trash, doesn’t mean that it has to look plain or ugly. Using linen fabric and liquid starch, you can create a gorgeous waste paper basket to complete your room’s décor. Place a plastic wastepaper basket upside down on top of some old towels. This will be the “mold” for the linen fabric wastebasket. Pour the liquid starch in a bucket and place near the plastic wastebasket. Use the plastic wastepaper basket as a guide to cut the linen in a large enough diameter to cover the plastic basket with 2 inches added to the diameter. A good way to do this is to sit the plastic basket in the center of the linen fabric and hold the fabric over the edges, holding the fabric above the can and then measuring from the bottom of the basket to 2 inche
