How Do You Make A Velvety Cheese Queso Dip?
When you go out to eat, you’ll probably eat dips and salsa or cheese queso as part of an appetizer or snack. The cheese queso is my favorite part, because I love cheese but not the chunky pieces. So, I make my own cheese queso without the chunks. In a bowl or sauce pan, slice the Velveeta cheese into small cubes. Add the milk. The amount of milk will vary because of the cheese. For 1/4 of the cheese loaf, I use about 1/3 cup of milk. Melt the cheese and milk together on a low-heat setting. Stir and whisk with a fork as it begins to melt. If you prefer to use the microwave, cover the bowl with a paper towel or lid and heat for 1 1/2 – 2 minutes, then check and stir it. If the cheese isn’t melted good enough, cook a little more — but be careful. The cheese will boil up and stick to the lid or paper towel, possibly spilling over. Once the cheese and milk is melted and is creamy, add the sauce. I prefer to use the packets of Taco Bell sauce (mild) because there aren’t any chunky ingredien
