Vacuum flasks are used to separate liquids from solids when used in conjunction with a filter in the mouth on top of the jar. Vacuum flasks typically will have a small mouth opening and will allow the vacuum to build a slight pressure inside. The wider bottom helps to add stability. In the side of the vacuum flask is a tube that hooks up to the vacuum system. Purchase a glass medicine dropper. Put on protective leather gloves and goggles. Put the dropper underwater and use a pair of scissors to cut through the glass tube just above the narrow end. Drain the water and remove the glass to prevent accident. Inspect the glass tube for stray cracks. Dry off the medicine dropper completely. Get a thick glass juice jar. A 32-ounce jar should be more than sufficient. Clean the jar inside and out.
