How do you make a trebuchet or a floating arm trebuchet?
Go to a website called The Hurl.org, and ask there. State all the requirements of your assignment (size limits, how much counterweight is allowed, what you have to throw, and how far, etc) and you will get really good answers from experienced hobbyists. Floating arm trebuchets are harder to build and take more material, so I wouldn’t recommend one as a first effort.
