This treatment also helps to protect the skin from any bacteria. Step 1 Bring the water to a boil. Once the bubbles begin to spread across the top of the water, take the pot off of the heat. Step 2 Pour the dried lavender into the water, and stir gently. Make sure the lavender doesn’t just float at the top. Step 3 Once the water reaches room temperature, strain the mixture (I suggest using cheesecloth for this) into a glass jar with a tight fitting lid. Step 4 Store the mixture between uses in the fridge, and it will stay fresh for about one month. Step 5 To apply, just pour a bit over the burned area and allow it to soak in gently.
