Transparent GIFs allow you to create reusable graphics that look great on any page. It’s an important trick to learn in Web design, as it can mean the difference between a blocky, outdated graphic or a sleek, newer looking one. Making one requires only a few extra steps when saving your graphic file. Nearly all graphics programs offer you the option as you save, it may just not be obvious to find. This method works for all of the Adobe graphic products. Step 1 Select the Pen Tool, and click along the edge of the image you wish to save. Step 2 Right-click and select “Make Selection” from the drop-down menu. Step 3 Hit the Delete key. Step 4 Finish your GIF and be sure you are ready to save it.
