How Do You Make A Traditional New Orleans Hurricane Drink For New Year?

0

A little tradition that is beginning in New Orleans is to welcome the New Year with a traditional Hurricane to ward off any future events where mother nature is not so kind. Try this drink recipe for the New Year and help New Orleans stay nice and dry! Step 1 Fill the hurricane glass with crushed ice. Step 2 Add 1 1/2 ounces of light rum. Fill glass with equal parts pineapple, orange, and cranberry juice stopping about 1/2 inch from the top of the glass. Step 3 Pour a splash of maraschino cherry juice (or grenadine) on top. Add 1 ounce of Myers Dark Rum on top of the drink. Step 4 Use lemon wedges, cherries, and any other fresh fruit to garnish your New Year Hurricane!
