Infants need stimulation. Many of them get it from interacting with baby toys, but these can be very expensive, and your child will quickly outgrow them. You can create your own homemade infant toys with items likely found around your house. These toys are just as enjoyable for your child, and you don’t have to spend a fortune getting them. Stuff tissue paper into the bottom of a large sock, and tie a knot at the top of the sock to close it. This is best done with a colorful sock. An infant will be able to squeeze the sock and hear the tissue paper crinkle. Wash and dry several cardboard milk cartons and stuff them with tissue paper or newspaper. Add one or two small bells to the inside of some of the cardboard milk cartons with the newspaper, if desired. Fold the top down so that you have a rectangular box.
