Making a toy car out of products that you have in your home is a smart way to recycle and a wonderful way to have a friendly competition. Cut a rectangle out of a piece of sturdy cardboard. It should be approximately 6-by-4 inches. Cut the straight straw in half. Lay these straws across the narrow ends of the rectangle. This will hold the skewers that form the axles and will allow the wheels to turn. Tape down each of the straws and make sure they are positioned in a straight line across the rectangle. Drill tiny holes into the centers of four of the same diameter soda or water bottle caps. The holes should be large enough so that the skewers can just fit through them an inch or two. If th
