How Do You Make A Toilet Seat Cover?

It’s easy to add a special touch to the bathroom by making a toilet seat cover. They’re quick and easy to make, so you can express your own personal style and create covers for every holiday season. Remove the cover from your toilet seat at the hinges. Place the seat on the reverse side of the fabric and use a pencil to trace an outline of the seat. Make sure not to place it directly on the edge or corners of the fabric because you will need to have a 2-inch buffer outside of your lines. Cut out the form you traced leaving a 2-inch perimeter around the entire form. Trim a length of elastic the same as the circumference of the toilet seat, beginning at the curved edge and ending again at the curved edge. Do not include the straight edge where the hinge goes. Sew the elastic onto the edge of the fabric following the curved line. Do not attach any elastic on the straight edge where the hinge goes. Hem the rough straight edge of fabric to create a finished look. Attach the toilet seat cove
