Making a toga is very easy. There is no reason to go to a toga party without one. Use about 5 yards of fabric and stay away from bed sheets to make the perfect classic Roman costume. Get any fabric you like to make some amazing toga designs that will impress everyone and make you the envy of the party. Step 1 Take approximately 5 yards of fabric, any longer than that is really too long for a good toga. With one end, pin it to the waist of your pants (or whatever you happen to be wearing under the toga). Step 2 Wrap the fabric around your waist once. If you are on the shorter side, you may need to wrap it twice. The toga should hang to about your knees in length. Step 3 Pin the toga at your waist again and throw the fabric over your shoulder. Step 4 Wrap the fabric around your back and pin at the waist a third time. There you have a basic toga. Step 5 Have fun accessorizing your costume.
