Sock monkeys aren’t difficult to make if you have a bit of skill in sewing, and they are a friend that will last forever. Turn one sock inside out. Fold the sock so that both the toe and heel are flat. Use a marker to draw a straight line down the center, leaving approximately 3/4 of inch from the heel. Use a sewing machine to stitch up one side of the line, starting at the toe. Leave about the width of the sewing machine press between the line and the stitching. Curve the stitch around the top of the line and come back down the other side. Cut the line. Starting at the toe, use a pair of scissors to cut the line. Stop cutting where the line ends.
