Many cupcake stands are available commercially that work well. A homemade cupcake stand saves money and allows you to customize the details to fit the celebration. Cut a strip of fabric the same height as the cake dummies. Glue edge of the dummy, wrapping the fabric tightly around the circumference of the polystyrene foam. Cut off the fabric length so it overlaps the starting point by a 1/2-inch. Hot glue the edge to hold it in place. Repeat with the other cake dummy. Place one of the cake boards on the wrong side of the fabric. You can also use thick, decorative paper to cover the cake board. Trace around the cake board on the back of the fabric or paper. Cut out
