How Do You Make A Tiara Out Of Construction Paper?
Just look at the number of children’s toys, coloring books and dress up costumes on the market that are aimed at little girls and there’s no doubt–little girls love to be princesses. But playing princess doesn’t have to mean elaborate costumes or props. Girls can have as much fun creating and playing with their own homemade tiaras. Measure the circumference of the head of the child who will wear the crown. Add 1 inch to the length to overlap the edges of the tiara. Draw a tiara onto a flat piece of paper. The band should look like a flattened piece of ribbon, about the same size as your velvet ribbon. The entire drawing should look as if you cut the tiara open in the back and flattened it. Cut the tiara out and decorate it with markers. Cover the band and the edges of the tiara with velvet ribbon. Glue sequins, rhinestones and glitter to the tiara. Glue the ends of the band together. Wait for the glue to dry before wearing.
