How Do You Make A Three Bean Salad With Vinaigrette?
A classic favorite, the three bean salad contains green beans, wax beans (yellow) and kidney beans. The three beans give color and the green peppers and onion in the recipe give it flavor and texture. Make this simple sweet salad the night before to marry the flavors, and serve it for a backyard picnic or barbecue. Drain the green beans and wax beans and add to a bowl that can be wrapped with plastic wrap over the top, or a large plastic storage container that can be sealed. Drain the red kidney beans, and rinse with water over a colander until the water is clear. Add to the bowl with the other beans. Add in the green peppers and red onion. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the oil, vinegar, sugar and salt until combined. Pour over the beans and gently toss to coat the beans and vegetables. Cover with plastic wrap, or place the lid on if using a plastic food storage container. Place in the refrigerator overnight and serve chilled.
