How Do You Make A Terrarium Using Plastic Cups?
A terrarium is a small, closed off area that contains living plants. You can make a terrarium at home using plastic cups as the enclosed area. It’s a great project for students and kids who are interested in learning about plants and the effects of photosynthesis. Poke a hole in the center of the square piece of cardboard using scissors. Make sure the hole is large enough that a plant stem could fit through it. Pull the stem of a small house plant through the hole in the cardboard. Rub petroleum jelly on both sides of the hole surrounding the stem. Fill one of the clear plastic cups with water. Place the cardboard square on top of the cup with water in it. Make sure the stem is going into the water. Place the other plastic cup on top of the cardboard square. Make sure the top of the plant is inside the cup. Place the homemade terrarium under a lamp that is turned on. Wait 15 minutes as moisture accumulates inside the top clear cup.
