How Do You Make A Terrarium Out Of Household Stuff?
Terrariums are often used for smaller animals and plants and is essentially an aquarium without the water or fish. When you look for a terrarium at a pet store, you might be surprised at how expensive they are. Even if you can afford one, you might want to make one yourself for a fun rainy day project or to get the kids involved in a project that shows off their skills. Make one yourself using a glass jar. Remove any paper labels or glue from the glass jar, especially if you’re using a food jar. Clean the jar using soap and water and dry completely or let dry overnight. Then paint the lid in one of your favorite colors if you want to cover any logos, pictures or designs on the lid. Pour a layer of small rocks or pebbles into the jar, using just enough to coat the bottom completely. Then pour a layer of charcoal on top of the rocks. The charcoal filters out smells from the plants and objects in the terrarium and the rocks keep your other items from sinking to the bottom of the jar. Tear
