Making a surfboard headboard is a simple way to decorate your bedroom. Depending on the size of your bed and the available wall space, you can hang one board or two joined boards horizontally behind your bed, or connect three boards and hang them vertically. Old wooden surfboards have a lot of charm, but you can also refinish any type of board to coordinate with your room’s décor. Place the surfboards face down in a row with the sides touching. If you plan to refinish your boards, it’s easier to do so before you connect them. Measure and cut three strips of 2-inch-by-2-inch hardwood to fit across the backs of both surfboards to join them together.
