How Do You Make A Stuffed Animal Cat?
Make a stuffed cat to display as a pillow, to accent a bed or to give as a gift to a child. This project uses a simple pattern for a cat that requires no artistic ability to draw. Create a stuffed cat in a variety of sizes, textured fabric and different colors. It will bring a smile to anyone’s face. Draw the outline of a cat on white card stock (see illustration in this step). Cut out the pattern with scissors. Fold the fabric in half, right side in, and lay flat on work table for the front and back of a stuffed cat. Lay the paper pattern on top of the fabric. Cut the fabric around the pattern with scissors. On the sewing machine with coordinated thread, straight stitch around the fabric 1/4-inch from the edge, but leave a 6-inch opening on the bottom (to stuff the cat). Turn the fabric right side out.
