Grasp one end of the wire 1 inch from the end and bend to form a loop about 1/8 of an inch in diameter. Close the loop and coil the excess at least three times. Clip it at the end and file it. String on a bead. Create another loop in the same way you did the first, making the loop’s end three to four coils from the end of the bead. Begin a second bead link the same way you did the first by cutting a three-inch piece of wire, filing the ends and making a bend one inch in.
