How Do You Make A Stacked-Column Chart?
This article demonstrates how to create a stacked column bar chart using Microsoft Excel. Start Microsoft Excel and open the worksheet that contains data you would like to create the chart from. Highlight the worksheet range of data you would like to chart, including the column/field headings. Click on the image to see a sample of how data could be laid out. Note that the manner in which your data is presented in the worksheet will affect the way you create the chart. In the example, a report of costs by year was recorded in the worksheet. The column headings contain the reporting periods. The rows contain the different cost types along with the values for each reporting period. Click on the Chart Wizard icon to begin creating the chart.
