No Halloween party or ghoulishly decorated front porch is complete without a spooky sounds tape. While there is a wide selection of spooky soundtracks available for purchase, creating your own tape is a fun holiday project for the whole family. Record your spooky sounds tape with a double cassette tape recorder. Recruit as many family members and friends as possible to help out. Record your spooky sounds onto one side of a short tape, about 15 to 20 minutes of playing time. Collect as many creepy sounds as you can think of. Some ideas include a barking dog, screaming, moaning, scratching, rattling chains and creaking doors.
