Valentine’s Day is a special day which allows you to show others you care. No matter how old you are, you still want to receive a Valentine’s Day card and your child is no different. There is an added element to Valentine’s Day in elementary school, however, which is having a special Valentine’s Day box to house your cards. Let your son decorate the box to reflect his style, while you allow your daughter to add all the lace and ribbons she likes. Find a shoe box large enough to hold Valentine’s Day cards. Clear a work space on the kitchen table and gather the supplies together. Place pink or red tissue paper on the cover of the box. Fold over the sides and tape. Cut a hole in the cover of the box large enough for the cards to slip through. Place same colored tissue paper on the box and tape. Fold different colored construction paper in half.
